The Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin will host dr hab. Luis Inostroza from the Institute of Geography, The Ruhr-University, Bochum (Germany) and Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic), from November 21 to 26, 2022.
The Doctoral School of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin invites you to an open popular science lecture by dr hab. Luis Inostroza – Topic: “What are ecosystem services and what they mean to us?” The topic of the speech will concern ecosystem services and the resulting benefits for all residents. The meeting will take place in the Congress Hall of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin on November 22, at 17.00. It will be conducted in English with translation into Polish.
The professor’s visit is part of the Visiting Professors in Lublin Program. The City of Lublin has created Visiting Professors in Lublin Program whose goal is to support local universities and institutes for research and development, which invite outstanding personalities of science and business to contribute to internationalisation of Lublin academic society, incl.: scientific research and promotion of science among the inhabitants of Lublin.
Dr hab. Luis Inostroza is currently an employee of the Institute of Geography, The Ruhr-University Bochum (Germany). His main area of specialization is urban ecology, urbanisation and urban economy. He has professional experience in Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia, is the editor-in-chief of scientific journals, lecturer, member of international organizations, analyst and consultant in the field of urban and regional planning.
