Historical tourism completes a vast education offer for higher education institutions. It is worth emphasizing that this is an extraordinary program. An important feature of the program curriculum of historical tourism is the fact that it includes courses required at state exams for travel and tourist guides as well as courses covering practical issues relevant to the tour-operator’s work. As a result, universally prepared professionals appear on the tourism labor market. Undergraduates acquire broad knowledge within Polish and general history, especially culture, arts, history, and contemporary trends in tourism development. The program curriculum includes taking an exam for getting a camp tutor license or camp manager license. Apart from the B.A. degree, an undergraduate receives a certificate of completing a tourist guide course (free of charge) that authorizes to take a professional exam in any Marshall Office.
