Food safety is among the top concerns for consumers who expect the purchased products to be safe. Knowledge acquired at the University allows Food Safety graduates for substantive supervision and control of the successive stages in food production. It enables food quality evaluation. It will identify possible risks at each production stage, affecting the required food safety standards and criteria. Food Safety graduates shall be able to take the necessary measures to ensure that either all the risks are eliminated or reduced to the acceptable quality level in agreement with the appropriate regulations. As a part of the program, there is a possibility to obtain the certificate of Quality Management Assistant recognized in the European Union. The University has signed the cooperation agreement with the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification, where the exam occurs.
Professional prospects:
a quality control expert monitoring food safety at all stages of product development of food processing companies, food-serving establishments, laboratories, and institutions dealing with food quality evaluation sanitary services and customs services
