Mathematics in finance

The program delivered mutually by Faculty of Economy and Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science. Students may graduate either from mathematics or finance. They can also graduate from both programs. The program curriculum allows students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills in mathematics, including advanced knowledge in probability calculus and statistics as well as rudiments of finance and accounting, functions of financial institutions as well as banks. Graduates also acquire skills in analyzing fundamental economic phenomena as well as the financial and economic situations of business entities.

Graduates of this program can be employed as mathematicians, employees in financial and accounting departments, specialists in financial institutions, banks, insurance companies, tax offices as well as public administration and local government institutions.
