Chemical and process engineering prepares the student (offering both theory and practice) for designing and supervising technological processes as well as process equipment in food processing and other factories.
The graduate understands the basis of production engineering, the rules of processes and equipment design, is familiar with modern equipment and process machines as well as with automation systems and industrial surveying. The broad range of knowledge connected with: biological materials processing, machine use, external and internal transport as well as cold chain allows the graduate to design properly and apply chemical processes in order to create products with defined characteristics. The usage of physio-chemical and mathematical knowledge enables us to determine properly and choose the appropriate parametric of the biological materials processing projects. Energy issues, in turn, as well as modeling chemical and biochemical reactions, can be used for economic and energy-saving processing of the already mentioned materials.
Vocational perspectives:
The graduate is prepared for work in different branches of processing industry: food industry, chemical industry, pharmaceutical industry, power industry, engineering industry, electronics industry, small manufacture as well in engineering and design offices; they are also prepared for work in management offices and running their own business.
